  • red chile, large; seeded and finely chopped4

  • turnip, peeled and sliced very thin1

Method 5 steps

  1. Dissolve the sugar in boiling water, and simmer for 10 minutes.

  2. Add chilli and salt.

  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

  4. Peel and cube or slice the fruits and vegetables.

  5. Arrange fruit and vegetables in a bowl and pour the syrup over top.
